Guide to Creating Message Templates on SmaxAI
1. Create a Category Group #
Step 1: In the Message Template settings, select Group.

Step 2: Click + Group to create a new group.

Name the group and click Save to create it.

2. Create a New Message Template #
Step 1: In the Message Template settings, select Add New.

Step 2: Fill in the message template details, including:
(1) – Message title
(2) – Quick reply code
(3) – Image (optional)
(4) – Response content
The response content can use the function [=GENDER(Miss,Mr)] to automatically detect the customer’s gender, the attribute {{full name}} for the customer’s full name, and the function [=RANDOM(text1, text2, text3)] for random content generation.
(5) – Message group
Once completed, click Save to create the new message template.

3. Create a Message Template Using an Excel File #
Step 1: In the Message Template settings, select Import Message Template.

Step 2: Choose to download the sample message template file.

Open the Excel file and fill in the message template details:
- Quick reply code: Column code
- Message title: Column title
- Response content: Column message
- Image: Column images (Note: image URLs must be in .png or .jpg format)
- Active: Set to TRUE to activate the message template

After completing, upload the Excel file and select Import to create message templates from the file.

4. Download Message Template List #
Download all message templates on SmaxAI as an Excel file to your device.
In the Message Template settings, select Export.

5. Edit Message Templates #
Select the move icon to rearrange the order of message templates or move them to another group.

Select the edit icon to modify the message template content.

Select the delete icon to remove a message template.

6. Using Message Templates #
Then you go to each customer’s inbox in Live Chat page of each channel, on the bottom reply menu > choose Quick Send Messages:

Choose the template that you have created at previous steps and press Enter to send messgage

Or if you don’t want to click on the icon, you can simply type in the response box the “/” + “Quick reply code”, for example: /bike, so it will auto-search for the quick reply message template

Then you can choose a template appropriately or press Enter 2 times to send message if matching.
So now you can send messages to customers with lightning speed!.
